Phoenix Safe Company is one of the oldest UK manufacturers of safes and security products, tracing its history back to Liverpool in 1799 – originally supplying the maritime trade with iron-clad wooden strongboxes and seamen’s chests.
Reformed in 1986 to design and manufacture advanced fire-resistant safes for the growing amount of data held on computers, Phoenix is now a European leader in fire and security safes, with offices and warehousing across the UK, Germany, France and Spain for fast, reliable delivery.
All Phoenix fire-resistant files and safes carry a life-time after-the-fire replacement warranty, and their traditional security safes protect cash and valuables from £1,000 up to £1m, alongside a comprehensive range of steel storage products.
Innovation and Industry Leadership
Phoenix played a key role in developing VDMA 24994:2024-08, the world’s first test standard for safely charging and storing lithium-ion batteries, and launched their own range of Battery Storage Safes in 2022 to help prevent domestic and commercial battery fires. For 2026, the new Fortress SS1450 and SS1460 Series bring ECB.S-certified security to home and office safes.
